1. Matcha. Matcha. Matcha. Matcha lattes make my morning bright and are packed with a healthy boost + antioxidants. Head over to The Coveteur to see a recipe. (Or Vogue for inspirational pictures)
2. I want a nipple piercing?
3. My new beauty plan... A nice skin oil after washing my face, a swipe of mascara, and a red lip!
4. I finally signed up for Dollar Shave Club and I can't wait to get my first box. They send a starter razor and refill cartridges each month for as low as $1.
5. I have Audible, an audiobook library subscription through Amazon. With my credits for this month (I had a lot piled up), I downloaded M Train, Patti Smith's latest book, read by the legend herself.
6. I've been thinking a lot lately about text etiquette. When is the best time to text? How many texts are too many? Can you ask someone out over text?
In fact, I actually have conducted some social experiments involving just that. With my closest girlfriends, it's simple. I send the first thing that comes into my head and they respond with a prompt, straightforward message. There are emoji's sometimes and lots of 'lol's' and 'omg's.' With guys, though.... not so simple. One of my closest friends (whom I once had a crush on) seems to only text about business matters. When he throws in a sassy picture or remark, it has a lot of shock value. But then there was the boy I was pursuing... He was awful at responding in a timely fashion. In general, all of our friends complain about it. But out of the blue, he would send the most relevant messages. Things that made me feel special, a song he thought I would like, etc. After months of confusing flirting and occasional hookups, I decided to see if he would want to go on a date with me: over text. His text back wasn't stellar, but at least I now know to be more cautious. I googled 'texting etiquette' and got a wide array of articles and lists. I found this one article written by a college dude and hey, maybe all of them are awful texters (/people)?
